OVERVIEW

“Nigerian Canadian Muslims Congregation, Calgary” (NCMCC) recognizes the importance of the security of your personal information. Please read this website privacy policy closely. By using the NCMCC website, you agree to the terms of this privacy statement.

HOW NCMCC COLLECTS INFORMATION

Every computer connected to the Internet is given a domain name and a set of numbers that serve as that computer’s ‘Internet Protocol’ IP address. When a user visits our website, our web servers automatically recognize that visitor’s domain name and IP address. The domain name and IP address reveal nothing personal about you other than the IP address of the computer from which you have accessed our site. We use this information to examine our traffic, but do not collect and evaluate this information for individuals. Our web servers do not record the email addresses of visitors.

Certain parts and features of the NCMCC website are reserved for our registered members. If you choose to login to one of our online services, we may ask personal information such as your name, email address, postal address or telephone number. We use this information to create and manage your account, contact and correspond with you (for things like special events, activities, promotions and surveys), and monitor functions of our Web Sites that you choose to use. This information confirms your identity to grant you access to these protected pages. We rely on you to ensure that you have obtained all necessary consents to provide this information to us. Should you choose not to provide us with this personal information, you will not be able to access this part of our website. Please note that the association has security measures in place to protect your personal information while using these secured pages and while paying a fee to NCMCC online.

CHOOSING A PASSWORD

When you create an online account on our Web Sites, you need to select a personal password. To maximize your level of protection, you should choose at least 6 characters including a combination of both letters, numbers and special characters and a mix of upper and lower case letters. You are solely responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your password and any account information. NCMCC will never send an unsolicited communication asking you for your password.
